We all have points in our lives when outside support can help us move through difficult times.  We also often have unfinished business from the past that takes up our energy and prevents us from moving forward.

My goal as your therapist is to help you move through whatever is keeping you stuck and create a healthier life, in whatever that means for you.  I pay particular attention to how your family and culture bring meaning to your life and shape your experiences. I also bring in breath, meditation, and body awareness work as tools for change.

I provide individual and couples therapy in a warm, supportive, and accepting environment.  As previous clients have said, by giving yourself this space, some of the benefits may be:
  • Breaking unhealthy relationship cycles
  • Understanding and improving relationships with family
  • Healing from painful experiences or trauma from childhood
  • Coming out as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or queer
  • Exploring a gender transitioning process
  • Learning how to reduce anxiety (racing thoughts, panic attacks, trouble sleeping, worrying)
  • Surviving depression
  • Reducing guilt and shame
  • Enhancing self-awareness and forgiveness
To discuss how I can help you, e-mail me at: alisongerig@gmail.com or call 267.257.6657.  I would be happy to schedule some time with you.
